Since the company I work for doesn’t require us to be in the office during normal times, I still have to do my regular job on a daily basis. This is of course an ideal situation in the current environment, but it also means that I don’t have as much time to sort my post-move clutter as I’d like, so progress has been slow.

On Thursday I moved some of the clutter into bay 3 in order to clear a corner where I could place the first shelves. I started with the sturdier shelves, including this number I bought at Costco about 10 years ago and seems designed for the storage of Sherman tanks. I got another shelving unit assembled and placed that night before calling it a wrap.

Friday saw a bit more progress, with two IKEA Gorm units and the stack of rust that the PO left behind.

Then, Saturday happened, and I went and got myself a thing that I have chosen to call the Srap Tasmaner.

Sunday was busy with yard work (*cough* excuse... *cough*) and maybe a bit more organization.

Fast forward to today, when I got two more of the woody things lined up against the wall to await their time to get filled with junk.

Those boxes are full of more tools, and eventually they’ll find their way onto the shelves. I have another shelving unit to assemble as well, which will get some of the other clutter currently in the garage - the rest will get disposed of in some appropriate fashion. In the end, the garage will have plenty of space for walking around the cars, which will prove useful when working on them.

A nd as evidence that spring has officially arrived here, the trees in our orchard have begun to bloom, with one of them rather eager to show off.

Nice work. That is an enviable car-hole right there. Spring is here also
